We brought Eli home on Sunday and it was such an exciting day. He didn’t seem very impressed with his first car ride since he slept all the way home. It
was so overwhelming to be
in his nursery and finally
have him there with us. It
was a great first day. Doll
and Nana were here with
us when got home. Nana
went home around dinner and Doll is here to stay until Wednesday. They have both helped us so much. I have been suffering with a side effect of the spinal block which is the worst headache pain I have ever experience.
The doctors say to take in a lot of
caffeine and stay laying down. I have
been so frustrated because I want to
take care of my sweetie pie, but
physically the pain is keeping me
down. This is supposed to pass in a
few days, so hopefully I will be able to do everything I want to do soon. Eli had a great first night at home. He is so sweet and content. He did cry a little when it was bed time because he is so used to us being in the room with him and we have done
quite a bit of holding him. But we read
him his bedtime story and prayed and
after a little rocking he went off to
sleep. Alan fed him at 11:oo and he
went right down. Mom (doll) fed him
at 3:00 and he laid right down. So the
first night was a good one and I’m sure there will be many more to come.
The Smith’s are home and our family has grown. We are so blessed!!!!
By the way.....today is Doll’s birthday. The first present she got was a dirty diaper and she didn’t even seem to care. :)
