We had our first doctors visit with Eli today. We were very excited because it would be our first time taking him on a little trip. We got up early so we could get our selves ready and have time to pack his bag with diapers, wet wipes, bibs, burp pads, bottle, change of clothes, and anything else we thought we might need on our first ten minute drive with Elijah.
We got him dressed in his very own Kentucky Wildcat shirt and before we took him off the changing table he peed all over himself and his shirt. His mom and Doll were upset because I quickly offered a Georgia Bulldog outfit that he wore beautifully. He does look good in Georgia Red!!!
We loaded him into his car seat and off to the doctors office we went. He was such a trouper when his doctor gave him the run through. He gained half an inch in growth and a few ounces in weight. He is now 6 pounds 10 ounces, just a few ounces from his birth weight. He is doing so well.
One down and several more to go. It was a fun little trip to be our first solo journey with the little guy. Mom did well. Dad drove slow and carefully (unusual to say the least). And Elijah was care free.
Our next visit is in two weeks and Marinda will get to take him all by herself. I cant wait to here how that adventure goes.
